# Get agency list by state

Get a list of agencies by state

Get list of agencies in a state returned from [/state\_list](/reference/get-state-list).

The API returns a list of post objects. Learn more about post objects [here](/reference/displaying-data-types).

***Note that not all agencies have will appear, only agencies with recent activity have post data.***
